The traditional way to finish most brickwork, stonework and pointing was to use a churn brush. Once the mortar is fairly stiff the wall is beaten with a churn brush, leaving a flush finish with an open texture. This aids moisture evaporation and gives a pleasing finish to the mortar revealing the range of particles within the sands etc; used.

We really like this - This is our second purchase. The first brush is still going strong. The long handle makes it easier to apply the right pressure the next day when brushing down. You do not have to move the platform so often with the extra length. Price is reasonable for a good quality brush. Mike 2018-06-15
